The short version. Prenda shows you what pawnshops have for sale. We are not the seller and we never handle your money — you buy from the shop, in the shop. Prices and availability come from the shops themselves and can change at any time, so always call the shop before you travel.

What Prenda is

Prenda is a listing site. Pawnshops publish auction or forfeited items they are selling; buyers browse and then visit the branch to inspect and buy. There is no online payment, no deposit, no bidding, and no reservation through this site.

We are not a party to the sale. The contract is between you and the pawnshop. We do not own, inspect, hold, ship or guarantee any item, and we do not take a cut of the sale.

For buyers

Call the shop before you travel. A listing is not a reservation, and an item can leave the sale at any time — sold to another buyer, or redeemed or renewed by the person who pawned it. A listing may still be showing when the item is already gone.
Prices can change without notice, and often go down — shops frequently reduce the price of items that have gone unsold for a while. The figure on a listing is the shop’s asking price on the day it was posted, not a promise, and some shops share price only on enquiry. Confirm it with the shop.
Inspect before you pay. Auction and forfeited goods are sold as-is, and any warranty, authentication or return policy is the shop’s, not ours.
Nobody from Prenda will ever ask you to send money, a deposit, or a “reservation fee” online. If someone does, it is not us.

For pawnshops

List only items you are lawfully entitled to sell, and keep status and price current.
Your listings, branch details and contact numbers are public. Do not upload anything you are not willing to publish — including photos that identify the previous owner.
You are responsible for your own regulatory obligations, including BSP pawnshop rules and record-keeping duties. Prenda is a shop window, not a compliance system.
A “Verified” badge means we have checked the shop exists and the branch details are real. It is not an endorsement of any item.
We may remove a listing or suspend an account for anything unlawful, misleading, or unsafe. Administrator actions are logged.

Your photos, and posting to social media

Your photos and listing details stay yours. Publishing a listing gives Prenda permission to show it on this site, and to publish it to Prenda’s own Facebook Page and Instagram. That permission is non-exclusive — you keep using your photos anywhere you like — and it covers nothing else. We do not sell them, and we do not use one shop’s photos to advertise another.

You are the one who posts.There is a button in your dashboard that publishes a batch of your listings to Prenda’s Facebook Page and Instagram, with your shop named so buyers can find you. Nothing goes out unless you press it. To stop, simply stop posting; if you want something already published taken down, tell us which post and we will remove it.

Posting sends those photos, your captions and your shop name to Meta, who run Facebook and Instagram. Photos are resized, padded and re-compressed to fit — Instagram refuses anything far off square. We pad rather than crop, so nothing is cut off.

Only upload photos you may publish. Ones you took, or otherwise have the right to — not a manufacturer’s press shot, and not a picture that identifies the person who pawned the item.

What deleting can and cannot undo. Removing a listing or your account deletes its photos from Prenda and stops us using them. It does not reach back into Facebook or Instagram: we do not keep a record of which post a listing went into, so we cannot find and delete it for you — send us the link and we will. And a post someone has already shared, screenshotted or saved is beyond anyone’s reach. Treat anything posted to social media as published for good.

If you are not a shop and a photo shows you, or shows something of yours you did not expect to see published, write to dan.navarez@prenda.ph and we will take it down. You do not need an account, and you do not need to explain yourself.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and your details accurate. You can export or delete your account at any time from your account page. Deleting removes your profile, and for a shop its listings and photos.

Availability

Prenda is a young service run by a small team on modest infrastructure. It may be unavailable, and listings may occasionally be wrong or stale. Do not rely on it as your only record of anything — pawnshops should keep their own books.

Changes

These terms will change as the service grows. The date at the top always reflects the current version.

Not legal advice. This page describes plainly how the service is intended to work. It has not been drafted or reviewed by a lawyer, and it should be before Prenda takes on real commercial relationships with pawnshops.
