Why Prenda.PH exists

Only three kinds of people ever see your auction items

I

The “suki”

Regular customers who already know when your auctions happen.

II

The walk-in

Whoever happens to pass your street and glance at the display case that day.

III

The “alahero”

The small circle of buy-and-sell dealers going around town for pawnshop deals.

Everyone else never finds out the item exists. A buyer two barangays away, looking for exactly what is in your display case, has no way to know it is there. And when it still does not sell, the item is packed up and sent to another branch — more handling, more risk, the same three kinds of people waiting there.
Where the idea came from

A problem seen from inside a pawnshop

  • ✦
Dan Navarez, Founder & CEOAround 2006–2007, worked as an auditor and part-time programmer at a pawnshop. Years later, a senior software engineer for clients in the US, Australia, and the UK.
  • ✦
The item was there. The buyer never knew.A shop could hold exactly what a customer was looking for, with no way for that customer to find out.
Built for the item already sitting nearby — and the buyer who never knew.
How it works

Three steps, and the sale stays in your store

1

You post the item

Photo, optional price, short description. Scan the QR on the item form and shoot the photos with your phone.

2

Buyers find it online

By category, by city, by pawnshop. Followers of your shop are told the moment it goes up.

3

The buyer comes to you

The listing shows your branch, hours, and a ticket number. Payment and pickup happen at your counter.

No online payments. No commission.

What Prenda.PH adds to how you sell today

Reach beyond your street

Buyers from anywhere in the city — or the next one.

Your own storefront

Branding, address, hours, auction dates, every item — one page.

Auction dates announced

Your next sale date on the city-wide schedule and on your page.

Photos straight from a phone

Scan the QR on the item form and shoot. No cables, no emailing photos.

No commission, ever

No cut of the sale, no online payment. A showcase, not a middleman.

Another customer-discovery channel for your existing business.

Common questions

What pawnshop owners usually ask

Does Prenda.PH take a cut of the sale?

No. No commission, no online payment. The buyer pays you, at your counter, in full.

Do I need a computer?

Not required — you can post from a phone. Many type details on a computer and shoot photos by phone via the QR code.

Do I have to post everything?

No. You choose which items to show. Nothing about pawn tickets or borrowers is ever on Prenda.PH.

What if I want to stop?

Remove your listings any time, no notice period. Your shop data is yours.

Do I have to change how I run auctions?

No. Your auction day, your rules, your counter.

How much of my time will it take?

About a minute per item, and a 30-minute walkthrough on day one.
